Iranian cleric expressed his deep concern over the massacre of the civilians in Bahrain and urged Organization of the Islamic Countries (OIC) for an emergency meeting to discuss the issue.
Grand Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani in a message to the Organization of the Islamic Countries called for an immediate measure over the catastrophe in Bahrain.
"Convention and peaceful rally of the Bahraini nation is a manifest of their justice seeking which is stressed in holy Qur'an," said the grand jurisprudent.
"The oppressed can elaborate on the injustice so that they achieve their own right," he continued.
He expressed regret that not only Muslim countries in the region do not support the cause but also send military forces to suppress the move.
Senior Iranian cleric urged the Muslim community around the world to stand up for their Muslim brothers and sisters in the war-torn country besides asking the religious scholars in the region to take measures and guide their countries to back the oppressed people in Bahrain.
"Muslim community around the world expects the OIC to determinately make a decision and stop the bloodshed in an emergency meeting," the Muslim scholar reiterated.
A month into the civil war in Bahrain, hundreds of people are killed and wounded in Manama and other cities of the country.
To make the issue worse, news say that Saudi and the Persian Gulf arab states dispatched their armed forces to assist in quelling Bahraini peaceful anti-government demonstrators.
A critical step demanded by the Bahraini kingdom, which analysts say it showed how immense the U.S influence in the region is.
